Research

Our courses are built on research. Here are the studies we have carried out or taken part in – from a randomised trial of communication training for hospital doctors to RescueVoice Pro for 113 emergency calls.

Ongoing research project · 2024–2027

RescueVoice Pro – the training platform of the future for life-saving emergency calls

An innovation project supported by the Research Council of Norway with NOK 12 million and led by Somsagt. Emergency operators at 113 centres train on a simulator that combines communication psychology with realistic AI-driven calls: handling fear and stress with precision, empathy and compassion. Early results show a time saving of 28 seconds from the start of the call until help is on its way.

Partners: Akershus University Hospital, University of Oslo, OsloMet, NAKOS, Norwegian Cardiac Arrest Registry and Vestfold Hospital.
