What we collect

When you send an enquiry through our form: your name, e-mail address, phone number (optional), organisation and role (optional), what the enquiry is about, and your message.

When you call or e-mail us, or order the book: what you tell us, for example name, address and phone number for delivery.

We do not use analytics or advertising cookies, and we do not track you across websites. To see how many people visit the site and which pages they read, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which works without cookies and does not identify you. We have a legitimate interest in this (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

Why, and on what basis

We use the information only to answer your enquiry and, if you wish, to plan a course, talk or other cooperation, or to deliver the book you ordered. The legal basis is your consent and steps taken at your request before entering into an agreement (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) and (b)).

Where the information is stored

The enquiry form is a Microsoft Forms form in Somsagt's Microsoft 365. Answers are stored in our Microsoft account within the EU/EEA. Microsoft acts as our data processor under a data processing agreement. We do not sell or share your information with anyone else.

When you open the form, Microsoft may set the cookies that are necessary for the form to work.

The website itself is hosted by Cloudflare. When you visit the site, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address in order to deliver the pages and protect them against attacks. Cloudflare has a global network and may process this information outside the EU/EEA, on the basis of the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and the EU standard contractual clauses. Cloudflare’s visitor statistics (see above) contain no cookies and are not used to track you.

Videos on the site are loaded from YouTube (privacy-enhanced mode) only when you click play.

How long we keep it

We delete enquiries no later than 12 months after our last contact, unless they lead to an agreement. Information that is part of an agreement or an invoice is kept as long as the law requires (for example the Norwegian Bookkeeping Act).

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we have about you, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Write to [email protected]. If you think we process your data unlawfully, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).
